Dear Larry,
Please accept this letter as a reference to the quality of work performed by Data Retrieval Services on our equipment.
The Precinct 4 Constable’s Office has an office automation system that was unsupported by a tape backup system and had limited program backup. During the first week in December 1992, our Novell Network Server, a Compaq Deskpro 386/20, suffered a fatal power spike through the uninterruptible power supply and severely damaged the one hundred thirty megabyte (130 Meg) hard drive and consequently our applications and data were inaccessible. We took the drive to local repair shops, contacted data retrieval services, and had one of the largest computer manufacturers to look at the drive, with no success.
A short period after receiving the drive and reviewing the circumstances, your company was able to view the data and eventually recovered better than ninety five percent (95%) of the original applications and databases from the hard drive.
Within two days of receiving the unit back from you, we had installed a new drive and restored the applications and data. We were up and running on the network by the third day! without your invaluable assistance we would have lost a tremendous amount of effort in programming and data entry. I would heartily recommend your services to anyone who requires data retrieval.
Sincerely
R. G. H
